The management and design of Landscapes is an essential aspect of understanding and improve the setting around trees or softening developments within urban, peri-urban and rural environments and as such this is an integral part of the development process. We can help at every stage, from initial outline master planning through the planning process to the removal of landscape conditions.

Increasingly planning applications are requiring Landscape Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) as a process of evaluating the effect of a development proposal upon the landscape, often used for projects within more sensitive landscape areas. Alongside these master plans, concept plans and detailed planting plans working closely with architects, quantity surveyors and engineers, help settle schemes into the local area.

For new and established sites, we prepare Landscape Management plans to work closely with ecologists creating sustainable habitats, accessible landscapes and special use requirements. Green infrastructure (GI) and habitat corridors, we provide specialist advice on tree planting, especially for difficult urban sites.

We have years of experience in design and build, enabling practical, cost-effective designs to be designed and implemented.

Landscape design is often an integral part of the development process; we are involved from initial outline master planning through to the removal of landscape conditions.

We provide master plans, concept plans and detailed planting plans working closely with architects, ecologists, quantity surveyors and engineers. We work with ecologists to ensure Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) criteria are met, as well as proving sustainable landscape habitats.

We provide landscape management plans working closely with clients and ecologists to create sustainable habitats, along with accessible landscapes, and special use requirements such as dementia friendly planting.

We provide advice on green infrastructure (GI) and habitat corridors providing specialist advise on tree planting especially for difficult urban sites.

We work for Housing Developers, Commercial Schemes, Highways, Developers, Parish and County Councils and Education.

We have years of experience in design and build, enabling practical, cost-effective designs to be designed and implemented.

Landscape Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA)  is a process of evaluating the effect of a development proposal upon the landscape, often used for projects within more sensitive landscape areas. They are often used to support a planning application. Our LVIA work is informed by the latest guidance from the Landscape Institute and GLVIA3; they should be proportional to the scale and nature of the development it is a tool used to identify and assess the significance of the effects of change in both the landscape as an environmental resource but also on people’ receptor’ views.

Landscape Management plans can often be requested as part of the planning process, as trained and experienced horticulturalists we provide management plans that can be achieved, are cost effective and meet management goals.

We provide technical advice and specifications for urban tree planting working with engineers, architects and specialist suppliers.

We provide tree planting plans and specifications to mitigate for tree losses on development sites. We work with ecologists to specify the correct species for achieving biodiversity net gain, We  create green corridors to connect landscapes and provide robust sustainable green infrastructure solutions.

The protection, restoration and enhancement of existing Green Infrastructure enables the benefits of these assets to be realised and linked. Green Infrastructure requires design and management and should respect and enhance the character and distinctiveness of an area.

With a wide range of experience in tree design, and species selection to enable increased biodiversity,  we are often called upon by other landscape practices for our specialism in this area.

We are experienced in connecting habitats and designing features from roof gardens, green walls to swales, rain gardens to provide high-quality green spaces and environmental features vital for the sustainability of urban and rural areas. Working alongside ecologists and engineers to provide a wealth of Ecosystems Services.

LANDSCAPE MANAGEMENT

We provide landscape management plans for site managers to improve and manage sites. We assess landscape history, current site analysis and prepare management schedules and plans to inform of future care for the landscape. Often working with ecologists to achieve management biodiversity goals.

Landscape Management plans can often be requested as part of the planning process.

TREE PLANTING SPECIFICATIONS

We provide technical advice and specifications for urban tree planting working with engineers, architects and specialist suppliers.

We provide tree planting plans to mitigate for tree losses on development sites. We work with ecologists to specify the correct species for achieving net gain, designing to create green corridors and provide robust sustainable green infrastructure.

With a wide range of experience in tree design, species selection to enable increased biodiversity  we are often called upon by other landscape practices for our specialism in this area. We deal with  awkward sites.

We all know the benefits of trees !

GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE

The protection, restoration and enhancement of existing Green Infrastructure enables the benefits of these assets to be realised and linked.
